Why open source ERP systems are a good option for small business

As a small business it’s essential to reduce costs as much as possible. One of the ways to achieve this is through the use of open source software.

Don’t know what open source software is? Learn more about it here.

Although free to download and install it would be foolish to say that Open Source software is free. There’s always a cost for configuration and customisation and ongoing support. Something we can take care of for you!

The real benefit of open source software is the ability to make changes to the software to make it fit your business. Flexibility of the software you use is especially important when you are using an all-in-one system like an ERP.

  1. The comment on Dolibarr “however it’s worth pointing out that the double entry bookkeeping is not quite as fully developed as the other options here” become now outdated. The double entry bookkeeping coming with v12 is very good now, and very easy to use.

    1. Thanks for the clarification Laurent. I am planning on doing a more in depth review of Dolibarr in the near future so I will update this overview when I do!
